Mega MGC Coffee announced Thursday that it is launching a new fall menu.

The lineup includes two new items: a chestnut sweet potato kabocha red bean cream cheese bread and two varieties of low-sugar golden apple black tea. Both draw on seasonal autumn ingredients and fruits, with a sweet flavor profile designed to pair well with fall lattes.

The new dessert — chestnut sweet potato kabocha red bean cream cheese bread — features diced chestnut, sweet potato and kabocha squash, staple autumn root vegetables, for a satisfying chew. It is finished with a streusel crumble, cream cheese and red bean.

The low-sugar golden apple black tea, intended as a dessert pairing, blends apple — a signature fall fruit — with black tea. Customers can also add an espresso shot to enjoy it in the style of an "ashatchu," a popular iced-tea-and-espresso combination.

Promotional discounts are also on offer. Through Wednesday, the chain is offering 300 won off the extra-shot option for its house milk latte. For the Chuseok holiday period, from Sept. 24 through Sept. 30, a customizable set combining the chestnut sweet potato kabocha red bean cream cheese bread with a choice of 10 beverages will be discounted by 800 won.

"Autumn is a time when consumer patterns shift away from the cool drinks of summer toward warm, smooth lattes, desserts and teas," a Mega MGC Coffee official said. "We are introducing new menu items that reflect seasonal autumn ingredients and the low-sugar trend."
