Ildong Foodis is relaunching its "Hi-Mune Protein Balance Active Bar" as the "Hi-Mune Active Protein Bar," now available in two flavors: strawberry yogurt and nutty chocolate.
The company designed the renewal to meet demand for protein that can be consumed as an everyday snack. The new bars translate the strawberry yogurt and nutty chocolate flavors of its "Hi-Mune Active Protein Shake," launched in June, into a bar format.
The nutritional profile has been strengthened with higher protein and lower sugar content. Ildong Foodis cut the weight from 50 grams to 40 grams to make the bars easier to consume. It also raised the protein content to 12 grams, a 25 percent increase in protein ratio compared with the previous version. Sugar content was also reduced from 5 grams to about 1 gram.
The strawberry yogurt bar combines a low-sugar white cream base with freeze-dried strawberry powder and strawberry cookie crunch topping. The nutty chocolate bar features rich, low-sugar chocolate mixed with whole nuts.
Both products contain 1,415 milligrams of branched-chain amino acids, which make up essential amino acids and protein, along with added vitamin B6 and dietary fiber.
