Dole Korea, a fruit production and retail company, has maintained a partnership program with the Seoul Welfare Center for the Disabled for 20 consecutive years.

Dole Korea held an event titled "20 Years Together: Expressing Our Gratitude" on June 26 to mark the 20th anniversary of the partnership. The celebration featured a sand art performance and a pop opera show carrying messages of support for people with disabilities living ordinary lives.

The event also included a session to share the outcomes of the two organizations' collaborative projects. Over the course of the partnership, Dole Korea expanded its support to cover not only people with disabilities but also their families, carrying out a total of 139 projects and supporting more than 31,000 people.

To continue the partnership this year, Dole Korea presented the Seoul Welfare Center for the Disabled with 35 million won ($22,700) at the event. Participants also received fruit gift sets.

"It has already been 20 years since we began working with the Seoul Welfare Center for the Disabled to provide practical support for the daily lives of people with disabilities," said Ryu Mi-seon, director of human resources and general affairs at Dole Korea. "We will continue to expand our support programs through close collaboration going forward."
