Starbucks Korea said Wednesday it will introduce three new fall cakes and hold a "Dessert Week" event for Starbucks Rewards members.
The new lineup consists of three items: the Black Glazed Bousengka, the Brulee Dubai Chewy Cookie Cheesecake and the Melon of Shine Cake.
The Black Glazed Bousengka is a dessert reimagining of the Black Glazed Latte, one of Starbucks' signature fall beverages. It combines a smooth glazed cream with a rich mocha chocolate cream.
Starbucks' mini whole cakes — including the Brulee Dubai Chewy Cookie Cheesecake and the Melon of Shine Cake — have each sold more than 200,000 units per product launch.
The Brulee Dubai Chewy Cookie Cheesecake features a sweet brulee topping paired with rich cheesecake and a nutty cookie base. The Melon of Shine Cake is a seasonal cake made with melon and Shine Muscat grapes.
To mark the new launches, Starbucks will run a "Dessert Week" event through Sept. 23. During the event, Starbucks Rewards members who purchase a handcrafted beverage and a cake together after 2 p.m. will earn three bonus stars on top of their existing rewards.
All cakes are eligible for the promotion, including the three new products. The bonus stars apply when a cake is purchased alongside a drink, excluding certain items such as bottled water and bottled beverages.
"We are introducing new products that reflect a wide range of tastes — from a dessert reimagining of our signature fall beverage to mini whole cakes," a Starbucks Korea official said.
