Ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs said Monday it will launch Peanut Butter Caramel, a crispy sandwich ice cream, as a fall limited-edition product.
The new product features butter caramel ice cream filled with peanut butter sauce and coated on the outside with butter caramel. The peanut butter sauce contains low-temperature roasted peanuts and a rich peanut paste. Cocoa wafers wrap both sides of the ice cream, adding a crispy texture and a subtle bittersweet note.
The product debuts Monday through Naver Shopping's new-arrivals week, before rolling out to convenience stores and hypermarkets nationwide. It will be sold as a single-serve unit at convenience stores and as a three-pack at hypermarkets, the brand's official online store, and other major online retailers.
"This new product lets fans consistently enjoy the deep, rich peanut butter flavor they have loved from Häagen-Dazs — now in a crispy sandwich format," a company official said. "It is defined by a nutty flavor and a variety of textures that unfold in every bite."
