Ediya Coffee said Monday it has opened its first store in Laos, in the capital Vientiane.

The store opened Saturday at KokKok Mega Mall in the Patuxay area of Vientiane, spanning about 198 square meters. The mall is developed and operated by KOLAO Group.

Ediya Coffee signed a master franchise agreement with KOLAO Group, Laos' largest private conglomerate, in 2025.

Accounting for the strong preference for milk-based coffee and beverages in Southeast Asia, the store offers popular Korean menu items including dalgona latte, strawberry latte and nuts cream latte. It also introduces new items targeting the local market, such as a caramel custard cream latte and a matcha cream coconut latte.

The food menu also reflects Korean flavors, featuring walnut cookies, bungeo-ppang (fish-shaped pastries), hotteok, spicy chicken cheese panini and bulgogi cheese panini.

The store also sells a range of K-merchandise incorporating Korean elements, including tumblers featuring traditional patterns and keyrings inspired by traditional accessories.

"Laos is a market with a large young population and consistently growing interest in hallyu content and Korean products," an Ediya Coffee official said. "We will continue to strengthen our brand competitiveness in the Southeast Asian market."
