KGC signed a strategic MOU with Lotte Duty Free, the company announced Sunday.
The signing ceremony was held June 4 at the Lotte Duty Free flagship store in Myeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, with KGC head of sales Kim Tae-won and Lotte Duty Free head of merchandise Lee Jeong-min among senior officials from both companies in attendance. The two sides said the agreement aims to jointly develop differentiated products and services within the duty-free channel and expand customer touchpoints, drawing on each company's brand strengths.
Under the MOU, the two companies plan to develop exclusive products together, including a dedicated "Ppuri Sam" line. Ahead of this year's chuseok season, Jeong Kwan Jang also plans to release a limited-edition "Everytime" collaboration with character brand Sanrio as a Lotte Duty Free exclusive.
The two companies also plan to expand online and offline marketing collaboration and strengthen promotions and experiential content targeting both domestic and international tourists.
"Through this strategic partnership with Lotte Duty Free, we expect to secure a wider range of customer touchpoints and raise awareness of the Jeong Kwan Jang brand," Kim said.
