Bord Bia, Ireland's food promotion agency, said it will participate in the 2026 Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition, running June 9-12 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

During the exhibition, Bord Bia plans to hold business meetings with beef importers, retailers, foodservice operators and food manufacturers.

Irish beef exports to South Korea began in earnest after the market opened to imports in 2024. Export volume to Korea reached approximately 370,000 kilograms in 2025, a roughly 1,064 percent increase from the previous year.

Earlier, Bord Bia hosted an "Explore the Taste of Irish Beef" seminar on May 12 at Smith & Wollensky in Hannam-dong, Seoul, drawing around 40 domestic B2B industry representatives from the beef import, retail and foodservice sectors.

Joe Moore, Bord Bia's global business development manager for East Asia, said South Korea is "a strategic market where demand for premium grass-fed beef is expanding," adding that Irish beef is backed by competitiveness rooted in sustainability, animal welfare, quality control and traceability systems. He said Bord Bia aims to deepen cooperation with Korea through its participation in the Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition and the preceding seminar.
