Vinexpo Asia 2026 concluded in Hong Kong as a platform for the Asia-Pacific wine and spirits industry. The event ran from May 26 to May 28.
The fair drew 14,273 industry professionals from 76 markets, up from 59 markets in 2024. The number of producing countries also grew, rising to 38 from 35 in 2024.
Vinexpo Asia, which has been held in Hong Kong since 1998, again received support from the Hong Kong Tourism Board and other key local organizations. The event opened with an official inauguration by Hong Kong's Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development. Two new sections making their Hong Kong debut — Be Spirits and Be No — highlighted shifting consumption trends across Asia.
Be Spirits, dedicated to distilled spirits, saw its exhibitor count more than triple. Non-alcoholic products accounted for 10 percent of all items on display.
Some 75 percent of visitors came from major established markets including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Japan and South Korea, while participation also grew from Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The number of local and regional association partners expanded to 28 from 19 in 2024.
Vinexposium CEO Rodolphe Lameyse said Hong Kong is "an important gateway to mainland China and a historic as well as future key market for the wine and spirits industry," adding that the goal is "to establish Vinexpo Asia as an annual event at an Asian hub starting in 2027."
