Artist Bakery is collaborating with local craft beer brand Seoul Brewery.
Artist Bakery said Monday it will offer a craft beer called "Artist Bakery Beer" at its Anguk and Yeouido stores. The beer is a rye IPA (India Pale Ale) brewed by Seoul Brewery, developed with pairings alongside Artist Bakery's salt bread and baguettes in mind.
The beer carries aromas of orange and passion fruit with a bitter, clean finish, while rye adds a smooth, nutty character. For a fuller fruit aroma, the brewery recommends letting the beer sit for about five minutes after taking it out of the refrigerator. It can be enjoyed alongside Artist Bakery breads such as pretzel salt bread and cheese honey salt bread.
Seoul Brewery, which produced the beer, incorporates new seasonal ingredients with each batch. The brewery has earned recognition for its quality through awards at domestic and international beer competitions as well as exports.
"We wanted to extend Artist Bakery's culinary journey — one that began with bread — to a glass of beer," an Artist Bakery official said. "We hope customers will enjoy a unique pairing experience alongside our freshly baked bread."
