Ayoung FBC, a comprehensive liquor distributor, said Thursday it is opening Liquor Locker, a full-service spirits store, on the first floor of Lotte Mall Valley Town Cheongnyangni in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Liquor Locker carries about 1,000 varieties of wine, whisky, beer, traditional Korean liquor and sake under one roof. The store also features hands-on experiences, including a wine-decorating station and a photo zone.
The opening lineup spans everyday wines as well as bottles suited for gifts and special occasions. Gift and anniversary selections include Champagne Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut and the Provence rosé Maison Number Nine Rosé.
Premium wines for enthusiasts will be available in limited quantities. Among them is Opus One 2018, a flagship wine from a Napa Valley winery co-founded by Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Bordeaux, France, and Robert Mondavi of the United States.
After choosing a bottle, customers can visit the in-store "My Wine Decorating" corner to add a personal message and decorations for the recipient. The photo zone lets customers take a keepsake photo with their selected wine.
"We have prepared everything from everyday wines to domestic spirits such as Gyeongtakju and Giwon Whisky, so customers can choose according to their taste and the purpose of their visit," an Ayoung FBC official said. "We hope this becomes an opportunity for visitors to discover their own liquor preferences while enjoying the opening events and hands-on content."
