Peanut butter brand Okgok is launching a new salted caramel peanut butter.
According to Okgok, the product is made with 100 percent domestically grown peanuts combined with caramel paste and Himalayan pink salt. Its defining characteristic is a naturally balanced sweet-and-salty flavor without artificial additives.
The product also addresses a common drawback of conventional peanut butter: hardening when refrigerated. Okgok says the new spread maintains a relatively smooth, spreadable texture even after refrigeration.
To mark the launch, Okgok is running an early-bird promotion on its own online store offering a 50 percent discount. The brand plans to expand sales to major online retail channels following the initial rollout on its own platform.
"We developed this product to deliver a new taste experience while preserving the fresh, whole-ingredient base and smooth texture of our original 100 percent peanut butter," an Okgok official said.
